1. 华为表态称即使美国解除禁令也不会在其设备中使用Google服务
华为驻奥地利经理Fred Wangfei透露,即使美国将来取消禁令,华为也没有计划使用Google服务。华为不想依赖于美国技术,因为将来可能会再次被禁止使用。华为的计划是建立第三个基于Android的智能手机生态系统,但不提供Google服务。
华为称,仅在2020年,华为就将投资约30亿美元用于开发将替代Google Play服务的华为移动服务。HUAWEI HMS Core是华为移动服务开放功能的集合,可帮助开发人员有效地构建高质量的应用程序。华为还开发了App Gallery,以替代Google Play商店。

1. WeWork母公司计划任命房地产行业资深人士Sandeep Mathrani为新任CEO
If WeWork wanted to cement the impression that it no longer strives to be viewed as a tech company but rather as a real estate giant focused on leasing space, it would probably choose a veteran from the real estate world. That’s just what it has done, too, according to a new story from the WSJ that says the company, which was famously forced to pull its initial public offering last fall, has settled on Sandeep Mathrani as its new top banana.
Mathrani, has spent the last 1.5 years as the CEO of Brookfield Properties’ retail group and as a vice chairman of Brookfield Properties. Before joining the Chicago-based company, he spent eight years as the CEO of General Growth Properties. It was one of the largest mall operators in the U.S. until Brookfield acquired it for $9.25 billion in cash in 2018.

According to a report released this week, Google is in the process of creating its newest messaging app and the company’s development team is looking to combine the capabilities of multiple apps that the tech giant already provides into one. The report detailed that the new messaging app would combine the features from Hangouts Meet, Hangouts Chat, and Drive, but also include Gmail features. The report also detailed the newest app as a “mobile app” leaving out any mention of a desktop or Web version. This would be Google’s tenth app.

A report released by The Department of Homeland Security detailed a plan to crack down on counterfeit goods sold online, particularly those sold through third-party online retailers and Amazon. The new recommendations will take a particularly close look at goods imported from China. While China will begin to penalize merchants who consistently sell counterfeit items, the United States will focus more heavily on sites and platforms such as Walmart.com and Amazon by holding the e-commerce platforms responsible for any counterfeit or fake items that are sold on their sites by third-party sellers.
4. App Annie: 2019年,印度用户在TikTok上的使用时长为55亿小时
Chinese internet giant ByteDance’s flagship short video app TikTok saw an increase of a whopping 500% in time spent by its users in India. Indians spent 5.5 billion hours on the app in 2019 compared to around 900 million hours in 2018, according to data collated by mobile and data analytics firm App Annie on Android users in India.
The world’s second-most populous country with about 200 million active users, became the largest market for TikTok outside China. A local media Economic Times (ET) citing App Annie report said Indians spent 25.5 billion hours on Facebook last year, a 15% spike from 2018. Its monthly active users (MAU) also increased by 15% to 224 million. In comparison, Instagram, the popular photo-sharing app owned by the American social media giant, saw its MAUs grow by 40% to 137 million in India.
5. 沃尔玛媒体集团(WMG)正在测试Xandr和the Trade Desk的DSP
Walmart Media Group (WMG), the retailer’s advertising business, is running a bake-off between Xandr and The Trade Desk to be its DSP partner for off-site advertising. Xandr and The Trade Desk each supported sponsored product campaigns for Walmart in Q4 last year, with the goal to drive site traffic at the lowest cost per click (CPC), according to sources with knowledge of the bake-off.
Each vendor’s campaign results were moved to LiveRamp at the end of 2019, and it’s unclear when a winner will be determined.Walmart declined to comment, as did The Trade Desk and Xandr. WMG has brought much of its digital advertising supply chain under its own roof, including a deal to acquire the SSP Polymorph Labs and the in-housing of shopper marketing services previously handled by Triad.
